Make art because it feels good!
I am a mixed media artist who is passionate about making art for self-expression, not for a perfect end product. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts and have experience across many mediums, including painting, drawing, watercolor, oil pastels, digital art, weaving, collage, sculpture and basic printmaking.
I studied art therapy as a graduate student and borrow much of my art philosophy from its teachings. One of the lessons I took most to heart is that the experience of making art is so much more profound than a picture-perfect final product.
I previously taught art to elementary students in an after-school programs and to patients on the children’s ward at a regional hospital. I pride myself on being inclusive and accessible to ALL. Creativity is expansive and powerful, and I hope to encourage people to make art that matters to them.
Do! Be! Create! Big or small, beginner or master, your art matters.
